About Me

My photo
I like food, walks, cuddles, more food, the seaside, other dogs, food, my frisbee and destroying things. Most of all I love My People and lots of lovely attention. Some say I'm spoiled. I say I get treated as I should be ;) I'm a healthy happy eight year old. The only thing wrong with me (God willing) is epilepsy which costs my owners lots of money and means I have to eat yukky tablets but otherwise seems to bother them more than it bothers me because they remember my fits and I don't. Other than that, I'm a happy lad and I love my people and I'm lucky to live in a place where there are nice walks. I wouldn't want to live in a town.

Hello again

We have had another quiet week but I am still enjoying life.., It has stayed dry and mild and the fields are drying out nicely so I have been having longer walks. On Saturday, we had a lovely long walk with lots of frisbeeing and on the way home we met Maureen and Martin and Tucker the dog.

Tucker was making my Mummy cross because he kept dancing backwards on his hind feet in front of her as she walked and hassling her for my rewards (which she keeps in her pocket). He even put his paws round her leg, which she didn’t like AT ALL. He didn’t get anything. She won’t reward begging. I could have told him that but he just goes yap yap yap in my face and I couldn’t get a word in edgeways. We were gone a long time that day because Mummy threw my Frisbee and it got stuck in a tree so we had to walk until we found a long enough branch to reach it then we went back so she could unhook it and then retrace our steps again. Luckily it was a nice day so I didn’t mind a bit, and she had a good play on her radio (about count Dracula killing a bunch of seamen on a ship sailing to England) so she was happy.

On Sunday, we were just about to set off when the phone rang and it was Uncle Ricky asking were we were. He had walked across and we met him in the Lane (five minutes from home) and then walked him all the way back to his home town (four miles away). I enjoy seeing Uncle Ricky so I kept biffing his hand with my nose to tell him I was happy to see him. On the way home, Mummy had her podcasts on and I sniffed and it was lovely.

On Monday, I tricked Mummy by grabbing my Frisbee on the way out of the gate so she took it, but I chased it too much and now my shoulder aches again so she won’t let me play with it for a few days. That’s ok though as I have been seeing Melody for all or part of my walks and we take it a bit more steady.

There’s no news otherwise - no jobs for Auntie to apply for, no word from the hippy, oh, we heard from Judy and she has asthma now but Mummy hasn’t said a lot about that… I send Happy Mother’s Day greetings to all you Mummies out there and I want to say a special thank you and send a big slobbery kiss each to my Mummy and also my Auntie who doesn’t have a day and she and Mummy share everything so she can be with Mummy on her special day.

Regards, Bruce xxx
